Pastoral Care
- If you are feeling sick or unwell, you are encouraged to please stay home and join in worship via Zoom.
- The wearing of facemasks in worship is optional, and you are not required to wear one. For those who would prefer to wear a face covering in worship, you are welcome to do so, and you can bring your own, or disposable masks are available at the church for your use. Hand sanitizer is also available for your use.
- We encourage everyone who is eligible and able to get fully vaccinated against Covid-19, including booster shots. We also encourage you to get a flu shot.
In Worship
- You are welcome to bring a personal prayer book, hymnal, or Bible for worship if you would like, however we provide large-print bulletins that include everything needed for worship. Prayer books and hymnals can also be found in our pew racks.
- We offer time for individual prayers at the altar with the laying on of hands and anointing with holy oil each week.
- We have returned to passing our offering bags during the service at this time instead of using an offering box at the entrance to the sanctuary.
- We celebrate the Holy Eucharist each Sunday, sharing both consecrated wafers and wine at communion. For those who would like to receive the wine, the clergy will dip the consecrated wafer in the wine and then place it on your tongue (please lower your facemask if you wear one). If you would prefer to just receive a consecrated wafer, please hold out your hands and the clergy will place the wafer in your hands. If you are not baptized or uncomfortable receiving communion at this time, you are invited to come forward for a blessing, indicated by crossing your arms over your chest.
- Spiritual Communion: For those worshiping from home via Zoom, we are using the following prayer for “Spiritual Communion”: Jesus Christ, I believe that you are truly present in the Holy Sacrament, and, since I cannot at this time receive communion, I pray you to come into my heart. I unite myself with you and embrace you with all my heart, my soul, and my mind. Let nothing separate me from you; let me serve you in this life until, by your grace, I come to your glorious kingdom and unending peace. Amen.
Zoom
- We are still using Zoom to share our worship with those at home even while we are fully reopened for in-person worship. As a reminder, the Zoom phone number is 646-558-8565, the Meeting ID is 847-4719-9430, and Passcode is 962483.
- Those who assist in our worship as readers or prayer leaders need not be present in person to participate in worship, but will be able to continue to read via Zoom at this time.
Coffee Hour
- We are back to sharing Coffee Hour with food and refreshments after our Sunday services. Tables and chairs are set up in the church for members to eat and fellowship with one another based on their own comfort level at this time. Typically, on the second Sunday of the month, a Bake Sale fundraiser is held in the place of Coffee Hour, with homemade baked goods available to purchase to support the church.
Pastoral Care
- If any special needs arise or you would like to meet with the clergy, Fr. Brian and Deacon Brenda are available by phone, text, or email, and they are glad to meet or visit with you in person at the church or your home, based on your comfort and safety level. This includes coming to your home to bring you communion. Fr. Brian Turner can be reached by cell phone at 614-432-5759, and Deacon Brenda Taylor can be reached by cell phone at 321-419-4117.
